State Rep. David Martin today welcomed Grand Blanc Police Officer John Graver to the state Capitol for a special ceremony. The annual ceremony marks the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States, honors first responders and military members working in our communities, and remembers those in Michigan who have died in the line of duty. In addition to serving the Grand Blanc community, Graver serves as the secretary of the executive board for the Police Officers Association of Michigan.
State Rep. David Martin is concerned about an extreme proposal that would force Michigan electric companies to use entirely carbon-free power sources by 2035, prematurely closing natural gas plants and driving the cost of electricity through the roof.
